If you’re like other members of my tribe, you’re a dedicated sports parent who wants to support your kids’ love of youth sports.
But the older your kids get, and the more skills they develop, the more expensive their sports get.
The league fees, travel expenses, tournament fees, uniforms, warm-up gear, equipment, private lessons.
It all adds up so fast!
It feels like everytime you turn around, you owe more money to someone for a youth sport.
You LOVE to watch your kids play sports. You LOVE to support their passion, and you want them to be able to jump at every opportunity that comes their way.
But in most cases, the better the opportunity, the higher the expense.
That’s when youth sports go from being a source of enjoyment, to a source of stress.
Can you relate?
Well I want to help you say YES without the stress.
For the past few years, I’ve been helping sports parents earn extra income so that they can support their kids’ love of sports.
Sports parents like this reader who recently reached out to me…
As a father of four girls, I’m looking for a change. My goal is to be able to do what I want, wherever I want, for however long I want. I want freedom to watch my girls grow and not miss out on anything. Looking for an opportunity to get me there.”
Or, maybe you’re like this member of my Sports Dad Hub community…
“My son is not only playing Tier 1 AAA, but he’s playing in showcases all over the States. The cost is starting to build up. It feels like no matter how much overtime I work or my wife works, we just can’t get ahead of the hockey cost. I would love to hear about what you’re doing to reach those goals.”
Does This Sound Like You?
- Are the expenses of your kids’ sports having an impact on your budget?
- Can you afford for your kids to play on the teams that their skill and desire deserves?
- Do you fear that you won’t be able to help your kids go after their hopes and dreams because you can’t afford it?
- Do you feel like life is going by way too fast, and you’re missing out on moments with your kids because of your job?
- Do you wish you had a mentor & a plan to guide you along the way?
If so, you’re not alone. All of us have felt this way. Including me.
I Know How You Feel
I have so much passion for sharing this with other sports parents like you because I know what it feels like to have to turn down great opportunities for your kids because of the expense.
A few years ago, before this opportunity found us, my wife and I reached a breaking point. All three of our boys were playing ice hockey, and we had two in club soccer and baseball.
Those expenses were rising every year. A lot faster than what our salaries were going up.
When my oldest son was nine, he had an opportunity to play on our hockey club’s travel team. His coach would have been a former NHL player. It was a great opportunity for him to learn and grow.
We had to say no to the opportunity. It was too expensive.
I was holding my son back and that wasn’t OK with me.
Life Can Be Different
Shortly after my lowest point as a dad and provider for my family, a friend shared an opportunity with me.
He told me about the side business that he and his wife had that was generating between $6,000 and $8,000 a month – PART TIME. He also told me that he’d help me do the same thing.
He was a ridiculously busy parent of seven kids, including twin baby girls! Yet he was still earning more in his side business than I was in my full-time job.
My original goal was $500 a month, so that I could say “yes” to the opportunity for my kids to play travel hockey, club soccer and select baseball.
I thought, if I could earn an extra $500 a month, that would be a huge win for my family.
I reached my first goal within six months.
With some more focused effort, the income from our part-time business grew enough to allow my wife, Kim, to walk away from a great 14-year career in education.
She’s been a stay-at-home mom since May 2015, and that’s been awesome for our family.
I’m currently teaching, training and mentoring other sports parents who join our team. Other parents who are looking for a way to earn more money, create more time to spend with their family and have life on their terms.
If that sounds like you… you’re in the right place!
